What is SEO Linking Strategy? It's a VERY important part of your SEO strategy. Google looks at a lot of different things when determining how your site should be ranked. One of the important things they look at is popularity. If they think your site is popular then that will help you rank higher. Of course you need to do a lot of other things, but this is big. Huge. The more sites that link to you, the more popular your site might appear to be...
Most people think SEO Linking Strategy is something called reciprocal links. Reciprocal links are where you link to me, and I'll link to you. That used to work, but these days Google is a lot smarter than that. If they see a ton of sites linking to your site and your site is linking back to those sites, then they are going to put two and two together and you will not see the benefit. In fact, Google might think you are trying to manipulate your ranking and punish you (see sandboxing). You can find a great SEO products by vistings our SEO Products and Services page. A good SEO linking strategy is when sites that are related to your site link to you. In other words, if you sell computers and computer blogs and forums link to your site. That's called contextual linking, and that's what it's all about. The trick is to get those sites to link to you. Another good SEO linking strategy has to do with blogs. If bloggers link to your site, in a non-advertising way, that's great. Just make sure the blog is contextual to your site. You want to avoid buying links on link farms. Google knows who these sites are and you will not see a benefit from paying for a link. You might be wasting your money and even worse you could get negative value from these links.
